How to Increase the Chances of Hatching Pokemon you Want

As far as I am aware, this is still a theory but it deals with the biome weather dependency and biome exclusive trails. For those who aren't sure what a biome is; it is a fairly new term used to describe the different habitats such as forests and tundras. I'm not sure of what biomes are in Pokemon go other than a water and grass biome, mostly because of where I live.

Well, what does any of this have to do with hatching eggs? About a week ago, it was cold damp and rainy for a few days in which I was able to hatch eggs still, though it wasn't my common fire or grass types. It was literally water Pokemon one after the other. It is safe to say however that Water Pokemon do spawn more when it rains because that was practically the only thing spawning. I'm still working on testing this, but I believe it to be true because there is a spot I normally walk to get a good sum of water types. I normally end up with 10-20 within the route, nor included what I get from eggs.

I didn't think much of the Pokemon I got out of eggs I hatched while walking this route, mostly because I thought it was by chance. Well the more I started hatching, the most water Pokemon I got, this was also when it was raining a bit though it was clear at the time I walked. I realized what was happening after hatching several eggs, which most were, of course, water type.

Have any 10km eggs you hope to become one of the one of the few water types you can get from them? Well, I would hold off hatching them until it's either cold damp and rainy unless you live near a water biome spawn. This could greatly increase your chances of getting Dratini's if you are still after that Dragonite (like me). Remember, though you have a (possibly) higher chance of getting water types when conditions are right, doesn't mean A) you will get a water type 100% of the time and B) you will get the Pokemon you long sought for and C) this is still speculation in which I hope to get hard evidence for, before I say rather or not it's legit. 

Though this theory makes sense doesn't mean it is true, that's why it is merely a theory. If you wish to be a part of testing this theory, please don't hesitate to let me know your data.

Preparing for Second Generation

As many of you may not already know, there will be a new list of Pokemon entering Pokemon Go sometime in December. Most of them will be completely new, while others have are new evolutions to existing Pokemon, Some are first stage evolutions, other are final stage. Here is a list and a theory based on current amount of candies it will take to get some of the new Pokemon right when they are first released!

Pichu - Unevolved form of Pikachu, 25 candies to get Pikachu and 100 Candies to get Raichu

Crobat - Final stage of Golbat, 25 candies to get Golbat, 100 candies for Crobat

Cleffa- Unevolved form of Clefairy, 25 candies to get Clefairy, 100 Candies to get Clefable

Igglybuff - Unevolved form of Jigglypuff, 25 candies to get Jigglypuff, 100 candies to get Wigglytuff

Steelix - Evolved form of Onix, 50 candies to get Steelix

Politoed - 2nd choice final evolution, 100 candies just like Polywrath

Slowking - Final Evolution of Slowpoke, 25 candies for Slowbro, 100 candies for Slowking

Bellossom - 2nd choice final evolution, 100 candies just like Vileplume

Tyrogue- Unevolved form of Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, will work like Eevee, 25 candies have a
chance to get Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, or Hitmontop

Hitmontop- Evolved form of Tyrogue, 25 candies with a chance to get out of the three

Magby - Unevolved form of Magmar, 50 candies

Shoochum - Unevolved form of Jynx, 50 candies

Elekid - Unevolved form of Electrobuzz, 50 candies

Espeon, Umbreon - two more evolutions to Eevee, 25 candies as a chance to get (plausible easter egg, higher chance to get Espeon in the morning and Umbreon at night)

Kingdra - Final Stage of Horsea, 25 candies to get Seadra, 100 candies for Kingdra

Porygon 2 - Evolved form of Porygon, 50 candies

Blissey, Evolved form of Chaney, 50 candies

Scizor - Evolved form of Scyther, 50 candies

Please keep in mind this is all speculation, the amount of candies it can take to evolve these Pokemon may be different, though chances are most of these will be correct due to the system now. Most Pokemon with 3 evolutions will take a total of 125 candies, 25 for the second evolution, 100 for the third. Most Pokemon with 2 evolutions take 50 candies to evolve.

How to Quickly get Candies for Rare Pokemon

Pokemon Go Nests have been sought out by many users once they were discovered and there are even maps for some locations that have the nests pinned. While I was in Newport, I was lucky enough to experience not 1 but 3 nests! They were close to each other, though I wasn't close enough to the Dratini nest so that still remains a shadow in my Pokedex.

A Pokemon nest is basically where there is an unlimited amount of one type of Pokemon, A breeding ground if you want to get technical. How do you know if you have come across a nest? Well, typically there will be several of a Pokemon showing up on your nearby. It is better it just accidently find a nest because they are so sparse, it would take a redundant amount of time to find a nest by strictly searching for one. 

 Other Pokemon can and will still spawn in nests, but for the most part, nests can be treated like they are unwanted Pidgeys and Weedles, that's how fast the Pokemon spawn. Though if you are after Pokemon just for the Pokedex entry, then I can attest you won't be there long. I got 50 Doduo candies in about a half hour, catching other uncommon's and rares in between.

I don't know the actual locations, but doduo was at the aquarium and Dratini was on one of the bridges close to it. Walking from Newport to Cincinnati on the foot bridge, the nest was to the left near the other bridge I believe you get to the aquarium on. If anyone has exact locations feel free to let me know so I can add them for others.

Changes:

As of today, 7-29-2016 nests have been changed. The Pokemon that used to inhabit a nest now have switched. To check out more information here is a list of Pokemon Nest Switches. Dratini nests now, sadly spawn eevees. I feel like that was a bit of a slap to every Pokemon Go player. Make a well liked/ strong Pokemon into well liked/ common Pokemon everyone has 100s of. Doduos nests however, now spawn Ponytas. Which where I'm from seems to be a fair trade (I have yet to see either in my area). Zubats... no one cares about them obviously, either I didn't find an actual nest because there aren't any Zubat nests, or Niantic has the same appeal to them as the average player does.
