A Belated Thank You We Should All Be a Part of

Come Join My Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/OpachiiO/

There are several reasons each individual should be thankful, many things of which aren't shared but personal. Even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, that doesn't mean you shouldn't be thankful for the things you have. Only a week late, there is one person we should all consider thanking, and that is Satoshi Tajiri.

Tajiri had a dream, it began with his love for insects. He was very fond of insects and tadpoles found in the suburbs of Tokyo; later to form the idea of one of the largest creative franchises in the world. He loved insects so much, he wanted to share the thrills of collecting them with other children.

Getting a few of his friends together, Tajiri created Game Freak. When Tajiri discovered the Game Boy and Game Boy Linking Cable, his dream grew bigger, imagining the insects traveling through the wire.

Ultraman; a fantasy TV series influenced Tajiri to further his creation when the protagonist of the series used monsters that were contained in small capsules. He later pitched "Capsule Monsters" to Nintendo, only for his idea to be dismissed. Later on, Tajiri befriends Shigeki Morimoto who pitches the idea to Nintendo once again.

Once the game was funded, it spent 6 years in development, leading to a financial loss, and "Capsule Monsters" being changed to the well-known game "Pocket Monsters". Several members of Tajiri's team left him, while he stayed with his ship, everyone thought to be sinking. Many unpaid hours went by while the rest his team, including him, finished the game.

If it weren't for Tajiri being stubborn about his creation, we wouldn't have the Pokemon we know and love today. Though his team also deserves a big thank you for sticking with him through his long journey, and Nintendo as well for helping make it possible for everyone to share the joy of collecting "insects" Tajiri had.

Of course, if it weren't for Niantic, we wouldn't have Pokemon go. Though through a bit of hardship, not being very communicative and drastic changes to the game, we owe them a big thank you too.

I would like to Thank,

Satoshi Tajiri and his team, Nintendo, and Niantic for all of their hard work!

There is a Missing Team in Pokemon Go?

Come Join My Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/OpachiiO/

Returning to the joys of my childhood TV series, Pokemon Indigo League, I came across a few stunning scenes. Though this is all fan based, it is still fun to believe that the Pokemon world is deeper than what as kids, once thought. I highly recommend, no matter your age, you watch the anime series.

Here is what I have found thus far...

It's just Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur, right? Look closely, not too closely, though or you can clearly see that I just used my phone to take this picture; I don't own any of these Pictures. If you can see that then you are looking to hard! I want you young and old trainers to look at the symbols setting behind the Pokemon.

Squirtle's symbol is red, Charmander's Blue, and Bulbasaur's Yellow. Meaning, in the Pokemon Go community, Squirtle belongs to Valor, Charmander belongs to Mystic, and Bulbasaur belongs to instinct. I can safely say, I am a true instinct.

Where does that put Pikachu then? Ash starts with him, does that mean Ash isn't a part of a team? Or, just hear me out now, Ash could secretly be a part of team rocket? No, no, no, that wouldn't make sense because team rocket is always after Pikachu. But does that mean Team rocket isn't the missing team? Well, I'm not sure yet. Things got a little hairy as I progressed through the second episode.

This is an ancient hieroglyphic found while archeologist discovered King Tuts pyramid; not really, that would be interesting, though. The hieroglyphic above shows Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, and Arcanine. Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos; also known as the legendary birds are Pokemon goes team symbols.

Moltres is team Valor, Articuno is Mystic, and Zapdos is Instinct. Where's Arcanine and its team? First of all the color would be green as seen in the picture above, but Zapdos is green and Arcanine is Yellow. Is it Possible Instinct took out this "green" team?

Let's try and see if we can come up with a name for this so-called 4th team. A friend and I pondered over it for a brief moment and decided on Team Legend. There is a reason I agreed with him, that I didn't mention to him. We will go over the definitions of the team names really quick, shall we.

Valor: great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle

Mystic: a person who seeks by contemplation and self-surrender to obtain unity with or absorption into the deity or the absolute, or who believes in the spiritual apprehension of truths that are beyond the intellect.

Instinct: an innate, typically fixed pattern of behavior in animals in response to certain stimuli

Legend: a traditional story sometimes popularly regarded as historical but unauthenticated

Something tells me "legend" isn't the most accurate guess, but it works. Arcanine's Pokedex entry is "a Legendary Pokémon, Arcanine is known for its bravery and fierce loyalty." That is why I sided with my friend on "Legend" being the missing team.

What happened to team "Legend"? Could team Legend be team Rocket, or did Instinct win the theorized Pokewar?

You Only Need 124 Candies for Those 3 Evolution Pokemon

Come Join My Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/OpachiiO/

Ever evolve a Pokemon using every last bit of candy you have for it, and you go to look at it and see this one candy just hanging there? It's okay you aren't crazy, I have been paying close attention to the Pokemon I evolve. Not only that, but I have a theory as to why this happens. It doesn't seem to be a glitch or bug either.

Don't mind the 34% battery life left on my phone, that's not what we are looking at. In the photos above I show that I have 100 Cubone candies. I figured having 50-100 candies for a Pokemon that takes 50 to evolve would be easier to show you get candies from evolving. After evolving the Cubone, I should be left with 50 candies right? So why do I have 51?

Many know by now that you get a total of 4 candies per Pokemon catch. 3 for the catch and 1 for transferring. Do we really get 3 candies for the catch itself? I don't believe so. I think we get 2 candies for catching the Pokemon and a candy from the Pokemon itself, then another candy when, if we wish to transfer the Pokemon. How does this effect evolving, though?

When you evolve, you aren't only getting a good amount of experience, or possibly a new Pokemon in your Pokedex, you are getting a "new" Pokemon as well. This is why I believe you receive candy from the Pokemon itself. When I evolved the Cubone, I didn't transfer it, and it shouldn't register as anything such, but I still got an extra candy when Cubone became Marowak. Since I didn't catch Marowak, I didn't receive the 3 candies for catching a Pokemon, making me think that you only get 2 candies for catching.

What do you think? Do you get a candy for the Pokemon, or when you evolve do you think it means you are transferring the Pokemon of your choice?

How Ads Really Work for Bloggers

Many seem to think that bloggers are making it big for putting out useless or misleading information. Well, the truth of it all is that's not even close to what ad's really do for bloggers. Trust me, if I got paid as much as most think, I wouldn't even need to blog anymore. The articles bloggers (most bloggers) put out aren't misleading. We take the time to research and gather as much information over topics. Yes, most articles will probably be speculation but that can only go so far.

The rumor about Johto being released on the 7th is actually very likely. Once you blog, research, play multiple online games, everything will fall into place as to why most bloggers are certain this rumor is true. It is very possible, that it is merely a rumor I won't deny that either. But the facts are just there, not everyone may see these facts, but they are there.

So how much do we actually make per click? Nothing, we don't make nearly anything per click, even if we got paid for impressions. For every thousand impressions, depending on the company you will get paid, very, very little. Most bloggers (like myself) only get paid when someone actually clicks the ad.

The Pokemon- Go community is the only community, that I have seen, doesn't fully understand ads. I have 10+ blogs, each with ads. I'm making bank off it! No, no I'm not I've been blogging for about 3 years, and get on average 1000-2000 views between all my blogs per day, which isn't a lot, I'm not a famous or bigshot blogger. The threshold for my to actually get paid is 100 dollars, 3 years, I've not once gotten paid.
  • Pay per click is the most popular type of advertisement. Each advertiser pays differently and you are paid when visitors click on an ad.
  • Pay per impression pays according to the amount of times the ad is displayed on your website. This means that for every thousand times the ad is displayed, you get paid. Each advertiser pays differently but typically the amount will be small since all it takes is for someone to open your web page.
  • Pay per sale will generate the most money but it also does not happen as frequently as pay per click and pay per impression. This type of ad requires your visitor to not only click on the ad but purchase an item or sign up for a service.

Who's That Pokemon? Johto Pokerap

 Participate in the poll
That's right it's time for Pokerap number 2 for the Johto Pokemon, soon coming to the game. Rumor is the new 100 Pokemon will be added on the 7th of December. I don't normally believe rumors, but as I recall, when the game first came out, I was talking with a friend and we both thought new generations of Pokemon would be released about every 6 months.

I'm not sure if Niantic is still on this track, but they use to give us updates on Wednesdays. The 7th is a Wednesday, and the games first release date was July 6th... also a Wednesday. I would say it's a safe speculation to believe, but don't get your hopes up. Anything can change the release of the Johto Pokemon.

My first Pokerap was poorly done if I do say so myself. I didn't know what to write, there really wasn't anything else for me to add to this article Pokerap Kanto Pokemon. That's different for this one however.

Shiny Pokemon appearing with the release of the new Pokemon; a rumor started a while back. I was disappointed that they weren't already in the game, but then it all made sense. Shiny Pokemon weren't added until Johto, the most recognizable being Gyarados. Though this is only a rumor, it is one I hope for. It would give me, and other players something more to do if the Pokedex is already completed; complete the Pokedex with shiny Pokemon.

The Unknown Pokemon, though counted as only a Single Pokemon, there are 28 of these letter shaped Pokemon two of them are the explication point and question mark while the others are the 26 letters in the latent alphabet. These ancient Pokemon are used as a lost language, and are fun to mess with or even use as means to communicate with friends.

The Egg Pokemon also known as Togepi might be something like Ditto. Togepi isn't like most other Pokemon and can be seen running around with part of it's shell still on. If I had to make a guess Togepi will be only obtained through hatching. This is just my thought so don't hold me too it. As interesting as it may be to only obtain a Pokemon through hatching Niantic may have other plans.

New forms to existing Pokemon will also appear which is why many have already seen articles over them. The new forms however will come from these already existing Pokemon.

Jigglypuff
Onix
Polywhirl
Slopoke
Gloom

Get the Most Out of the Thanksgiving Bonuses

Everyone has been asking if using the lucky egg would give 4x the amount of experience during the event, which Niantic even confirmed the answer for us that indeed it does. Here are a few of the things that you will need in order to get the most out of this event.

  • 7-day streak: the event lasts for 7 days, so by the time this post is out, a majority of those that read it during its first arrival to the web; should be able to get the 4000 experience bonus when completing their daily streak within the event. Just before your last streak count, be sure to use a lucky egg.

  • Eggs:  If properly placed in incubators, hatch all your eggs at once! Put your 10km eggs in first, walk until they are halfway hatched, put your 5km eggs in, walk until your 5km eggs hit 3km and your 10km eggs hit 8km, then put your 2 km eggs in incubators.

  • Evolving: Save all your candies until the last day of the event (or just before it ends) and evolve your Pokemon.

  • New Pokedex entry: Save any new evolutions you might be able to get until just before the event ends

  • Lucky Egg: If everything is done right above, use a lucky egg to double everything or get 4x the amount while the event is still going on!

Normal experience gain:

Eggs: 2km 200, 5km 500, 10km 1000

Pokestop: 50

Evolving: 500

New Pokemon entry: 600

Daily Bonus: 500 for both stops and first catch

7 day streak: 2000 for both stops and first catch

Accuracy: Nice 10, great, 50, excellent 100

Experience from Lucky Eggs:

Eggs: 2km 400, 5km 1000, 10km 2000

Pokestop: 100

Evolving: 1000

New Pokemon entry: 1200

Daily Bonus: 1000 for both stops and first catch

7 day streak: 4000 for both stops and first catch

Accuracy: Nice 20, great 100, excellent 200

Experience from Lucky Egg+ Event Bonus

Eggs: 2km 800, 5km 2000, 10km 4000

Pokestop: 200

Evolving: 2000

New Pokemon entry: 2400

Daily Bonus: 2000 for both stops and first catch

7 day streak: 8000 for both stops and first catch

Accuracy: Nice 100, great, 200, excellent 400

The best way to make the most out of the event is by getting 9 eggs, wait before putting them all in. Put 10kms in first as stated above, walk them to 5km, put your 5km eggs in, walk another 3km putting your 10km eggs at 8km, and 5km eggs at 3km, then put your 2km eggs in. Once that is done, try to walk another km so that you only need one more to walk on all your eggs. Use a lucky egg and continue to walk.

It is important that you get all of your eggs the day before your 7 day streak if it isn't already too late. Don't catch anything or spin any stops until your eggs are set up as said above rather you can get your 7 day bonus or not. If you can't it's still an extra 2000 experience each.

Hopefully, you have a nice stock of candies ready because you will be using the evolving method often used to level. Luckily I saved about 5-6 new Pokemon entries so I will gain a bit more experience than others, but if you have new Pokemon entries, be sure to evolve those as well. If done correctly, using averages, you can expect to get roughly 100,000 experience. I have seen screenshots of most 120,000.

I Caught A Ditto!

It all started when my mom was showing my brother; of whom is on vacation as he is in college, our Christmas lights we decided to set up early this year while the weather was warm. The Thanksgiving event is in place right now so my mom decided to catch a Rattata for the event bonuses, and hopefully a recorded breaking tiny Rattata for the badge.

Moments later she looks at her screen to see if the Rattata was small enough to count toward the achievement and this happened!

I am not sure of and strategies of coming across one of these because it looked like any other Rattata, there wasn't anything off about it. The best/ fastest way of getting one of these long sought for failed experiments is simply by catching everything you come across.

Please let me know if you have or know of someone who also has a Ditto. This is the first of even hearing about it, and I'm glad to say that I too am one who actually has a Ditto, maybe one of few?

Pokemon known to transform thus far:
Rattata
Pidgey
Magikarp
Zubat

Ideas for Niantic to Include from the Game and Anime

These are all ideas so don't take any of them to heart. Some of these ideas I'm not certain on myself, but overall it would be interesting to see a bit more features in the game, even if some include being less active; not everyone has the time to constantly be on their account.

If you are like me, I just want to complete the Pokedex but as many know especially for rural players like myself, it's actually quite difficult to catch each species. I have put a good sum of time into this game and still only have a Pokedex of 116, this of course with the help of the Halloween Event.

The reasoning for most of these ideas is to help rural players and those who don't have a whole lot of time to play the game. Apps aren't meant to be played 24/7 so it should be treated as an app rather than console or PC game. I can't speak for everyone but I can only assume that the biggest reason Niantic lost a lot of their active players is due to the fact the progress wasn't worth the time. These ideas slowly help the progress.
Safari Zone:

The Safari Zone would be an excellent feature in the game. The reason being, it could allow us to catch regional specific Pokemon; Only a chance of course. Thinking more about this feature, how could Niantic introduce something like this? Where could the place these "safari zones"?

Well, it's actually a simple answer and maybe, just maybe Niantic already has plans for safari zones in later patches. I'm not sure about you, but when I visit parks or I'm around a darker green patch of pixels in the game, I was told Pokemon spawns are increased which they really aren't. In fact, these differently colored patches seem to serve no other purpose in the game, other than to indicate some kind of Park.

It is possible since there is already coding in the game to separate parks from the rest of the residential areas, that an increased spawn rate could be introduced for rarer Pokemon and even additional coding for the regional Pokemon could be added to these areas.

Rare candy, unlock at level 30

First of all, let's cover what my idea for rare candies are. In the game, rare candies are known to grant any Pokemon of your choice a level given the fact it isn't already at level 100. I thought to myself, how could such a nostalgic item be introduced without being game breaking? Well, It all comes down to the fact it's a candy. How about rare candies grant any Pokemon of your choosing an extra candy?

This wouldn't be game breaking because people would need to expand their inventory spaces. You would have a chance of getting these candies from Pokestops after reaching the tedious experience level 30. I don't know about you, but I'm setting on a full inventory of 900 items because I have nothing to catch. Meaning, not only do I have no use for Pokestops anymore but also no need for more inventory.

The reason rare candies should be introduced later on in the game rather than sooner is simply because active players need some love too. I've played my fair share of games where experience is gained to determine your character's level, not many that leveling is completely useless. I mean yeah you unlock a few items here and there, but is it really worth it? I don't battle so revives and potions are useless, and I have a higher catch rate with regular Pokeballs over great and ultra, so I'm not benefiting any from my levels and I know I'm not alone.

Seeing that I am now almost level 26 and nothing useful has come out of that journey. It would be nice to finally be rewarded for our levels. I'm sure I will get a lot of flack about how greater balls and ultra balls are better than regular, but they aren't. Pokemon actually have a higher flee rate when using stronger Pokeballs.

Pokemon abilities

This is a feature from the games. Pokemon abilities mostly serve a purpose for battling, those some are beneficial outside the arena like the pickup ability and the flame body. These abilities would become in use depending on your buddy choice. It would make it more worthwhile to choose a buddy wisely. You can still change them but I wouldn't want to change back and forth between several Pokemon daily.

Here are the abilities and uses:

Pickup - your buddy has a chance to pick up items while traveling (can be used in the manner of so many km walked)

Flame body - Reduces the amount needed to travel in order to hatch an egg

Sweet sense - your buddy Pokemon slightly increases spawn of wild Pokemon (very small, but still somewhat noticeable)

Arena Trap - Recuses the flee rate of Pokemon (Completely taking the flee rate out would be a bit game breaking)

Pick Pocket - your buddy picks up items off encountered wilded Pokemon if they have any to offer

Day Cares

This one would be a bit harder to implement, and I'm not sure what Niantic would use for Daycare Centers? Maybe they can use Walmart or and kind of grocery store? The only catch is you can only have up to 2 Pokemon in a daycare and include Breeding. If your Pokemon have an egg than an icon can show up above your character's portrait.

The day care could use stardust as means of currency. A hard 100 stardust rather your Pokemon gains a candy or not, and 50 stardust after every candy. Candy can be gained by the amount of time you spend offline meaning if you are in the game, you won't get candies from daycare Pokemon. Making it so Pokemon in the Daycare only giving candies for distances traveled defeats the purpose of it being a Daycare and having buddy Pokemon.

Every 10 hours or so offline would grant you a candy and a chance of logging in to find a "2k" egg. You can only hold one egg from the daycare to prevent people from "farming" for specific Pokemon. These eggs could be designed to give much less candy for hatching and won't give the players experience for hatching.

Fossils + Fossil Tab
I don't know about you but getting the fossils in Gen1 is probably my favorite and most memorable part of the Kanto region. Now there aren't many Pokemon the fall into this category, but what about the Unknown? It would be cool to add the 28 Unknown Pokemon using the fossil system, It would bring more joy trying to guess what "fossil" you received over hatching 1 one the 3 fossil Pokemon from 10km eggs now. When and if Niantic gets to Gen3 they could introduce the regi's as fossils and any other ancient Pokemon I may be forgetting.
